The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our northern based Debt team, with the addition of an Investment Associate. You’ll be supporting the team with investing into businesses from our NPIF Debt Fund, in the Yorkshire and Humber region and looking to grow your career with us. While we see this vacancy as a full‑time position, we know that normal office hours aren’t always doable, so we have a hybrid working policy in place which allows for core hours and some homeworking during the working week. You would be expected to be fully mobile and travel to other Mercia offices and investee companies as required.
In This Role You Would Have Responsibility For:
- Supporting the completion of investments including preparation of investment documentation, management of the due diligence process, AML documentation and coordination of the legal agreements.
- Ensuring that service level standards and turnaround times are always met.
- Ensuring that regulatory and customer requirements are always complied with.
- Preparing internal and external reports to key stakeholders.
- Identifying, selecting and appraising suitable investment loans, to achieve annual investment targets for the fund, initially with support if needed.
- Supporting the investment team in its business development activities, to self‑generate proposals, build new relationships and actively promote the fund.
- Supporting the post‑investment monitoring of investments.
About You:
- Ideal experience in lending and/or regulatory background.
- Investment/lending management experience.
- A self‑starter able to multi‑task, with the ability to get up to speed with support from the team.
- Commercially aware and able to demonstrate sound judgment.
- Strong analytical skills, with a high level of financial awareness.
- Effective networking skills, able to build good relationships with investees, clients and contacts.
- Confident communicator both verbally and written.
- Good working knowledge of CRM systems/databases and Microsoft Office.
- Fully mobile and possession of a valid UK driving licence.
- Valid right to work in the UK.
