Role:
To transport residents of Cromer and the immediate surrounds to and from medical appointments and accompany the recipient to waiting rooms.
You will need a full clean driving licence and your own car, Ideally with room for a wheelchair, though this is not a prerequisite.
You will have an interest in, and recognition of, the challenges facing local people in need.
Ideally you will live in, or near to, Cromer.

You will receive reimbursement of £0.65p per mile, parking and sundry relevant costs.
Cromer Cares will pay for your DBS check and a free Safeguarding course.
As part of the Volunteer registration process, we will request 2 referees who have known you for at least 2 years.

Time commitment:
Volunteering hours vary depending on the role requirements; though the nature of our service means a transportation request will sometimes be at short notice.

We aim to be as flexible as possible and can discuss more with those interested in the role.

About the organisation:
Cromer Cares started life in 2020 with the aim of delivering shopping to those who were isolated during Covid.

It became a registered charity in 2021, it’s run by volunteers and is here to relieve the immediate needs of local people who are struggling with mobility, isolation, financial, social, housing or well being issues.
