As a Software Engineer in Test (SET) Architect, you will play a crucial role in aligning our Test Infrastructure and Architecture with the strategic direction of our organization. You will have the opportunity to exert influence and take ownership of various Strategic Test Frameworks and projects. We expect you to lead the design and development activities related to these frameworks while providing support to Engineering Teams. Being part of a dynamic and exciting development center, you will work with a diverse range of programming languages and applications. You will also utilize state-of-the-art software development techniques within a Continuous Delivery environment. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact by shaping the test architecture and infrastructure, and contributing to the organization's overall success.
Position Responsibilities
- Providing technical leadership in test frameworks, test automation and test methodologies.
- Building and maintaining automated test solutions, while leveraging and innovating using the latest progressive testing and environment toolset options.
- Analyzing and solutioning test automation requirements and test cases, monitoring/analyzing test results, collecting test metrics and conducting test reporting.
- Heavily influencing the opinions for 'building in' testability during all phases of the SDLC with emphasis on the design and development phases through continued collaboration with stakeholders.
- Lead the engagement with Development Architects, Product Architects, Engineering, Release Engineering Teams and other key stakeholders to enable product development resources to provide greater test coverage whilst delivering products at quality and velocity.
- Developing test solutions to support all aspects of Test Engineering including but not limited to static/dynamic analysis, unit, component, acceptance, integration and non-functional testing capabilities for our products and services.
- Leading the identification of tooling and process improvements, collaborating closely with Engineering Teams to establish robust standards and champion best practices.
Required Skills
- BSc or MSc or equivalent in Computer Science (or related field) OR equivalent work experience.
- Passion for Software Testing and developing high quality solid test solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of Testing Methodologies and Test Techniques.
- Proven ability to design and deliver robust and scalable framework solutions.
- Extensive experience with Design Patterns, Refactoring, OO Design and related areas, and must be a thought leader in software development best practice.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to resolve ambiguity and set clear direction.
- A proven ability to work independently on diverse problems with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
