Investment banking firm focused exclusively on the Energy Transition looking for an associate. The firm is active across four complementary pillars, namely M&A, debt advisory, intermediate capital solutions and power markets.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our growing team and take a leading role in the execution of transactions across M&A and debt advisory mandates. This position is ideally suited to someone with strong financial and transactional experience in the renewable energy sector who is ready to take on greater ownership of deal processes and client interaction. As an Associate, you will bridge the gap between Analysts and senior leadership, managing workflows, mentoring junior team members, and helping deliver high-quality work for clients across the UK and EU energy markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Execution & Project Management: Take ownership of key workstreams across live M&A and debt advisory transactions. Draft core transaction documents such as Information Memoranda, teaser documents, and investor presentations. Coordinate with clients, legal and technical advisors, and internal stakeholders to manage the execution timeline and deliverables.
- Financial Analysis & Oversight: Review and refine financial models prepared by analysts; contribute to model structuring and stress-testing. Lead valuation analysis including DCF, precedent transactions, trading comparables, and scenario modelling.
- Client Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients during deal execution, ensuring timely communication and responsiveness. Attend client meetings and support in preparing strategic presentations, pitchbooks, and updates.
- Industry & Market Analysis: Conduct and supervise detailed market research and competitor benchmarking in the energy transition space. Stay informed on sector trends, regulatory developments, and investment activity in renewable energy markets.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide day-to-day guidance to Analysts; review work, provide feedback, and support development. Contribute to fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team.
