We are looking for a talented professional to join our Mercer Operations & Technology, Application Solutions team. Based in London you will take on the critical role of Product Owner for both new and existing digital products. In this role, you will cultivate strong partnerships with senior business leaders and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to drive timely decision‑making and navigate trade‑offs throughout the product lifecycle. Success in this position requires working effectively within an Agile environment. This opportunity is especially well‑suited for candidates with experience in wealth management, retirement, or the broader financial services sector, including banking.
We will count on you to:
- Define and oversee the delivery of the applications development roadmap and full product lifecycle for assigned products.
- Identify and document business value and projected return on investment of product enhancements.
- Manage business needs, prioritise and manage backlog, and maintain a single roadmap.
- Approve technical design, manage feature scope and trade‑offs, and coordinate user acceptance testing.
- Verify product deliverables meet acceptance criteria and secure sign‑off from business stakeholders.
- Support business readiness, provide release updates, and offer governance and oversight to maximise business value.
- Support leadership with key performance measurements, defining and regularly reporting to demonstrate delivery of business value.
What you need to have:
- Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, particularly Agile Scrum.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to understand the value of developments and present the business case.
- Experience as a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst.
- Previous experience using Agile methodologies.
