Mercer’s Pensions Administration business provides end-to-end administration services for defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes, supporting trustees, employers, and members with accurate, compliant, and efficient scheme operations.

We are seeking a Technical Delivery Manager Retirement Solutions to lead a high-profile program of work within the retirement domain of our Wealth business.

This role combines pensions administration knowledge with strong data expertise, including data governance, data quality, and data-driven decision-making.

This role will be based in a hybrid setting, with a requirement to work at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to

  • Partner with stakeholders across Mercer Wealth to understand priorities and translate needs into product direction, with a focus on retirement.
  • Engage executive stakeholders to understand business drivers and value propositions, and shape solutions that support transformation goals.
  • Lead end-to-end product delivery from initiation through launch, ensuring outcomes align with timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate delivery across vendor and in-house technology solutions.
  • Improve operational effectiveness by helping define support models, optimising processes, and addressing key operational challenges in a client-facing environment.
  • Operate effectively in both Agile and traditional delivery approaches, using appropriate tools and practices for the work.

What you need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e. g., Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in pensions administration or actuarial systems.
  • Demonstrated technology product management experience, including business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and delivery leadership.
  • Experience delivering technology initiatives involving both vendor and internal teams, including AI and/or data science-enabled solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Ability to operate with autonomy while collaborating across a globally distributed team, with strong organisation and time management.
