Join our dynamic Workplace Savings Consultant team as a DC Pension Consultant. We are Mercer Marsh Benefits, part of Marsh, delivering expert pension solutions to corporate clients across the UK. This non-sales role offers the opportunity to manage and grow a portfolio of circa 50 clients, focusing on up‑selling services and retaining existing business. For this hybrid working role we are able to consider candidates to be based out of any of our UK offices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain a portfolio of approximately 50 corporate pension scheme clients, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
  • Upsell services such as salary sacrifice arrangements and conduct policy reviews to enhance client offerings.
  • Collaborate within a team of 12 consultants, working closely with delivery and sales teams to provide seamless client solutions.
  • Maintain high client retention rates by proactively managing contract renewals and addressing client needs.
  • Ensure all client work meets Mercer’s quality standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing corporate pension schemes, ideally with a strong background in defined contribution (DC) pension administration.
  • Proven client relationship management skills with a track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of related employee benefits areas such as Flexible Benefits, Healthcare, and Group Risk is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and office‑based work.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills to handle multiple client accounts efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Innovative approach to problem‑solving and delivering tailored pension solutions.
  • Working towards / completed your QCF4 qualification in financial advice.
  • Understanding of risk mitigation principles in client interactions.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a fast‑changing business environment.
