We are seeking a talented individual to join our Reward Consulting team at Mercer. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
The purpose of this market and client-facing role focused on Reward is to drive growth, support leadership and play a key part in developing Mercer’s presence in the UK reward market. It operates mainly in the UK market and Mercer’s target market (FTSE350 and equivalents) with particular emphasis on global and strategic clients.
We will count on you to:
- Contribute to Mercer’s reputation and market position as a market leader in the design and execution of best in class reward strategy.
- Advise across the Reward and Talent practice and deliver across people strategy, talent management, broad based rewards, job architecture, employee experience, skills and future of work.
- Meet challenging business development goals leading to sustainable growth revenues.
- Lead the design, development and analysis of total reward strategies and supporting programs to ensure alignment with business strategy that reinforce the company's pay-for-performance culture.
- Drive innovation and value creation across the business via the development of global reward and incentive programs.
- Manage performance of the global total rewards team delivering services consistent with business strategy with a particular focus on process optimization, consistent use of technology and systems, and overall operational excellence.
- Monitor performance by collaborating closely with internal partners to align the operational excellence of the total rewards function to ensure a seamless, effective service experience for employees and managers.
- Partner with senior leadership and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors on the executive and broad-based rewards strategy of the firm.
- Determine feasibility of plans and provide guidance to reduce risk and maximize opportunities associated with mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring activities.
- Research and apply leading market total rewards practices to optimize the company's total rewards programs.
- Manage vendor relationship strategy to ensure effective and seamless implementation within established budget.
- Define consistent and relevant total rewards success criteria, metrics and reporting dashboards to ensure program effectiveness.
- Support clients and lead consulting assignments.
- Engage, facilitate, and guide senior executives and develop trusted advisor relationships with key clients.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Mercer’s businesses and functions.
What you need to have:
- Track record as a consultant advising clients on the formulation and implementation of reward strategies aligned to the clients' business agenda.
- Strong strategic commercial acumen with the capacity to quickly understand business issues.
- Experience with sales methods, tools and practices and proven sales experience.
- Exceptional client management skills with demonstrated experience developing strong relationships.
- Experience working collaboratively in multi-cultural environments.
