As the growth of Mercer's Investments business accelerates, an exciting opportunity has emerged to join the Alternatives Investment Director team. The team manages over $50bn of private market mandates through the Mercer platform and advises on over $170bn of mandates globally. The primary role of the Private Market Investment Director team is to support Mercer clients with the build-out and management of their private market allocations.
Location: London or Dublin
We will rely on you to:
- Work closely with our Private Market Investment Solutions team to support the delivery of our solutions and advice to clients and prospects across the UK and Europe.
- Liaise with our asset class teams to track new themes and opportunities in private markets and engage with asset managers for their latest views and portfolio positioning.
- Support the communication and delivery of our latest thinking on private market asset classes and portfolio construction activities to clients.
- Support our sales and consulting colleagues in the marketing and communication of our Private Markets capabilities.
- Prepare client updates, including performance reviews, commitment plans and informational slides on private market asset classes.
What you need to have:
- Minimum two years of investment consulting or investment management experience in a client-supporting role.
- No prior private markets experience required, but a strong desire to build a career in the area.
- CFA Certification or willingness to work towards it.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Ability to work in a dynamic high-performing team, supporting colleagues while driving and managing own tasks and projects.

Hybrid Working
All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
