We are seeking a talented individual to join our Portfolio Management Team at Mercer. This role can be based at either our Dublin or London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We are excited to offer an opportunity to join the Portfolio Management Team within Mercer’s Investment Solutions business, focusing on our bespoke solutions for our largest institutional clients. These solutions encompass a broad range of client-specific multi-asset and single asset class portfolios. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to deepen their investment management knowledge and embrace the challenge of designing and managing investment solutions for some of the world’s largest institutional investors.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on Mercer’s solutions and capabilities from peers and management, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the team’s future development. Long-term, there is potential for growth into a Portfolio Management role or other senior investment positions.
What you need to have:
- Approximately 3 or more years of experience in an investment environment
- A strong undergraduate or postgraduate degree majoring in Accounting, Actuarial Studies, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or similar discipline is essential.
- Understanding of institutional investors’ strategies.
- Strong relationship-building skills to foster collaboration and gain buy-in from key stakeholders.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and spreadsheet skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in investment writing preferred.
- Solid understanding of investments and related issues.
- Ability to work effectively within a small, dynamic team while managing individual tasks and projects.
- High attention to detail with an understanding of its relevance to the broader context.
