International Benefits Consultant - Mercer – Location Flexible

The Global Mobility Solutions team within Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) Multinational provides advice and solutions to clients in the area of international health insurance and group risk solutions.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Mobility Solutions Consultant to join our UK team.

As an International Benefits Consultant, you will be managing the relationships with a number of clients across a variety of industries and supporting them on a range of international benefits issues and projects.

In addition to renewing a portfolio of clients, you will also contribute to our growth agenda through winning new clients and expanding existing relationships.

You will have the opportunity to help develop our value proposition, intellectual capital and play a meaningful role in shaping how we support our clients.

This is a hybrid working role, with all locations considered but a preference for a work location in either Bristol or London.

We will count on you to

  • You will be accountable for the day-to-day management of key clients and prospects.
  • Working in partnership with one of the teams Analysts to deliver high quality value-adding client service.
  • To take ownership of all client deliverables around their expatriate health and risk provision.
  • Expatriate benefit design and program renewal/rebidding.
  • Preparation of client reporting including recommendations.
  • To provide recommendations on changes to benefit programs as appropriate.
  • Take an active role in developing specific areas of intellectual capital alongside senior colleagues.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, notably the relationship managers for global clients and other operating companies of Marsh globally.
  • Develop an external network with key insurer partners.

What you need to have

  • Some relevant benefits experience gained from working as a Consultant within a Broker or an insurer, managing a diverse range of clients.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Analytical, organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and with colleagues effectively to help drive team success.
