We are seeking a talented individual to join our leading-edge Workplace Health Consulting team at Marsh Health & Benefits. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

We are looking for a senior workforce health professional operating at leadership level. You will play a key role in shaping our direction, supporting client relationships, and advising senior leaders on the health, risk and commercial implications of workforce strategies. Our Workforce Health Consultants make a difference in client conversations every day, bringing deep health risk expertise and practical insights.

This is a hands-on consulting delivery role where you will combine strategic thinking with curiosity and experience. You will lead conversations with senior client stakeholders, translate complex health and risk data into clear recommendations and help shape workforce health strategies that clients can act on with confidence. You will also contribute to shaping service innovation in response to client needs and changes in the health risk landscape.

You will bring expertise in the health and benefits ecosystem – understanding how services are designed, funded and utilised. Experience of how benefits and wellbeing support are integrated is desirable. You will stay ahead of market trends through active horizon scanning, respond quickly to client priorities and opportunities, and help drive continuous improvement in our service offering.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead client engagements: Build a pipeline of new projects, grow existing accounts through repeat work as well as create opportunities through collaborations across Marsh.
  • Support workforce health consultants in developing their pipeline of projects.
  • Provide Workforce Health Consulting (WHC) input into presentations, proposals and pricing for strategy, review and implementation projects with board, executive and stakeholder audiences.
  • Advise senior leaders: Act as a trusted senior adviser over the long term, building enduring client relationships not limited to single projects.
  • Hold credible, potentially challenging conversations with client leaders and stakeholders about workforce health, cost and risk.
  • Explain the commercial case for preventative health investment, including cost savings and wider workforce or strategic value.
  • Present findings and recommendations to client leadership with confidence and clarity.
  • Respond to emerging client challenges, providing proactive support and innovative solutions.
  • Plan and set strategy for clients: Use data to identify emerging health risks, measure outcomes and support provider selection and contract management.
  • Develop pathways and wellbeing initiatives that align with client strategy and deliver measurable impact.
  • Build on consulting strengths and opportunities: Support, lead, coach and help grow a team of consultants.
  • Help shape our consultancy workforce health strategy, service range and growth plan.
  • Monitor emerging client needs and emerging technologies, translating these into new service propositions.
  • Lead innovation: develop new services, tools and methods grounded in evidence, market insight and client feedback.
  • Shape our thought leadership: lead the production of reports, articles, events and speaking opportunities that position us as market leaders.

What you need to have:

  • Senior experience (typically 5+ years) of working as a health professional and senior health & wellbeing consultant in workforce health, employee health and benefits.
  • A track record of using your expertise to develop client projects and strengthening client relationships.
  • Confidence and credibility with senior client stakeholders including the ability to challenge and influence thinking.
  • Proven and demonstrable experience leading strategy work for clients, from diagnosis through to implementation and measurement of outcomes.
  • Ability to analyse health data and explain it simply and in a compelling way to audiences of different levels of seniority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write board papers and compelling proposals.
  • A commitment to continuous learning.

What makes you stand out?

  • A clinical qualification, with current or previous professional registration.
  • A strong existing network of senior health professionals as well as HR and People leaders.
  • A track record of bringing innovation and new ideas to market.
  • Evidence of thought leadership through publications, speaking or industry contributions.
  • Global or multinational experience, such as international, multi-country health & wellbeing programmes, or advising clients across EMEA or other regions.
