Overview
In this role you support trustee clients through governance and scheme management within Mercer’s Governance and Scheme Management team. You will work across DB governance, investment, risk transfer and covenant advisory, collaborating with actuaries and investment consultants to deliver tailored governance solutions. You’ll help manage trustee meetings, secretarial duties and client relationships, enabling effective scheme governance. Responsibilities
- Attend client meetings and support scheme secretarial services, including budgeting
- Provide governance and scheme secretarial support to trustee clients or senior colleagues
- Liaise with clients, team members and other advisers
- Attend trustee meetings as trusted supporter to chair and board
- Carry out scheme secretarial work: arranging meetings, drafting agendas, coordinating with trustees and advisors
- Minutes, action point management, stakeholder communication, governance and risk document maintenance
- Set, monitor and agree budgets with senior support
Key requirements
- Pensions experience with governance consulting or scheme management
- Technical pensions knowledge and understanding of regulatory regime
- Strong understanding of how UK pension schemes operate
- Proven ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients
