A vacancy has arisen for a Composite Manufacturing Planning Manager to join our Composite Manufacturing Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning & scheduling for the entire composite manufacturing operation.

Key Accountabilities/Duties include:

  • Lead and mentor composite planning and scheduling teams, facilitating their growth and development within the organisation.
  • Create, maintain and communicate robust plans to deliver F1 and customer projects.
  • Development and maintenance of an overall resource plan for the F1 and customer programs highlighting constraints and opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates and visual standards to communicate delivery status to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor efficiency performance, provide visibility and recommendations to manufacturing leaders on areas of focus.
  • Continuously improve the function, enhancing planning accuracy and reduction in lead times.
  • Proactive approach to the development of planning tools to meet the needs of all internal stakeholders.
  • Define and manage KPIs to measure performance and identify areas of improvement including but not limited to, scheduling adherence, capacity utilization and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with the planning/purchasing groups to align supply of any externally procured parts to ensure milestones are met.
  • Utilise problem solving expertise and tools to address issues and challenges that arise during project execution, making decisions that align with our business goals.
  • Always ensure SAP accuracy, highlight & correct any data discrepancies.

Candidate profile:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent. Studies in engineering management or supply chain management preferable.
  • Leadership background, preferably within a low volume, high complexity planning role.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Significant experience in working with both ERP and MRP systems.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to convey status and expectations at all levels within the organisation.
  • Skilled in analysing production data to identify risks and opportunities using software such as Microsoft Office & VBA.
  • Experience in identifying issues, developing solutions and facilitating decision making.
