Job Overview

Following our recent acquisition in Guildford and an internal move, Mercedes-Benz of Epsom are looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of Business to lead Mercedes Benz of Epsom. Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director, you will have overall responsibility for the performance and efficient operation of the site. Through strong leadership, you will motivate, develop and coordinate the management team, ensuring all departments work collaboratively to achieve exceptional results. Leading the Sales, Service and Parts functions, you will be accountable for delivering the Sandown experience, maximising commercial opportunities, and driving sustainable profitability while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Providing visible, inspiring leadership across the dealership.
  • Managing and developing all departmental leaders to deliver outstanding performance.
  • Driving sales, after sales and profitability objectives in line with business plans.
  • Ensuring an exceptional customer experience at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Maintaining full compliance with Mercedes-Benz franchise standards, policies and processes.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the site.
  • Creating a high-performance culture focused on employee engagement, customer excellence and operational effectiveness.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a commercially astute automotive leader to play a key role within the Sandown Group, leading a prestigious Mercedes-Benz site and contributing to the ongoing success of our growing business. Qualifications

  • People management, specifically in terms of achieving high performance through teams; leadership style should be highly visible and hands on.
  • Motor industry experience, along with experience in a senior position with an established track record in profit delivery, cost control, stock and people management.
  • Experience of managing Sales and After Sales functions.
  • Enthusiasm to deliver the Mercedes-Benz experience and continuously improve product knowledge of yourself and others.
  • Desire to achieve the highest standard of personalised customer care commensurate with the Mercedes-Benz brand.
  • Significant relevant retail motor experience and a track record of success in a challenging and fast paced automotive environment.
  • Outstanding drive, ambition, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills.
  • Applicants will preferably be educated to degree level or equivalent or hold a Management Qualification with a main manufacturer.
  • A full Driving Licence is essential as travel between sites will be required.
