Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van (NI) Mallusk is currently recruiting a Fleet Transfer Driver to join our busy Logistics team. This is a full-time, permanent role with a respected, market-leading brand, offering variety, stability, and the opportunity to work with a modern fleet of premium commercial vehicles.

The Role

As a Fleet Transfer Driver, you will play a key part in supporting our sales, aftersales and rental operations. The role involves driving a range of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles, from small vans to HGVs, across Northern Ireland, as well as assisting with yard operations and vehicle movements. This is a varied position combining driving, organisation, and customer interaction in a professional dealership environment. Contract Type

Full-Time Permanent

Rate £13.11 per hour overtime payable at 1.5 rate for additional hours worked beyond 39 Hours. Flexibility required for start & finish times.

Hours of work

  • 39 hours per week; Monday – Thursday 8:30–16:45 and Friday 08:30 – 17:00
  • 40 hours per week; 1-week in 4 rotate carrying out yard duties Monday – Friday 07:00 – 15:30
  • 07:00 – 12:30 Saturday overtime, on a rotational basis

Main duties

This role involves the movement of a variety of Mercedes-Benz vehicles throughout our customer base in Northern Ireland.

  • Presenting vehicles for MOT to the local test centres
  • Organising the company yard in an orderly and safe fashion complying with Health & Safety regulations
  • Assist Workshop Controller and Service Team to organise workflow and minimise downtime
  • Managing incoming traffic to avoid congestion within the dealership yard
  • To carry out daily safety checks in line with vehicle maintenance and legislation

Essential Criteria

  • A valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C + E) with an up-to-date CPC
  • Confident driver with experience of driving a wide variety of commercial vehicles
  • Good geographical knowledge of NI
  • A strong customer service focus with the ability to be an ambassador for the Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van products and services
  • An excellent standard of presentation with a courteous and pleasant nature
