Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team is seeking an experienced Project Manager to act as our representative as the IP owner, ensuring that the new Experience Centre (Mercedes-AMG World of Performance) in Saudi Arabia meets our brand, commercial, and fan engagement objectives. This role requires strong project management skills and experience in the themed entertainment industry. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the project owner, ensuring that the Experience Centre is delivered to the highest standard while protecting and enhancing the Mercedes-AMG F1 brand. With a hybrid work model, the role involves frequent international travel to oversee project execution and maintain alignment between stakeholders.
Role Profile
- IP Representation & Brand Alignment: Represent Mercedes-AMG F1 Team as the IP owner, ensuring that all aspects of the Experience Centre align with the brand’s identity, values, and quality standards. Work closely with the project owner to maintain strategic alignment and ensure that the final product delivers an authentic and immersive brand experience. Protect and enhance the intellectual property and commercial interests of Mercedes-AMG F1 within the project. Ensure that the design, storytelling, and guest experience reflect the innovation, performance, and prestige associated with the team.
- Project Management & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Act as the key interface between Mercedes-AMG F1, the project owner, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Identify risks and collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless execution. Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. Report internally on progress and key milestones. Ensure timely delivery of information to the developer and their design team on behalf of Mercedes-AMG F1.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Build strong working relationships with the project owner, developers, experience designers, and operational teams. Represent Mercedes-AMG F1’s interests in all project discussions, negotiations, and decisions. Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring that contracts and deliverables align with the project’s brand and experience goals.
- Creative & Themed Entertainment Integration: Ensure that the Experience Centre reflects Mercedes-AMG F1’s heritage, innovation, and future vision. Work with experience designers and technology teams to incorporate cutting-edge, interactive, and immersive elements. Ensure that the guest experience is engaging, dynamic, and in line with premium sports and entertainment industry benchmarks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Essential: Proven experience in project management, ideally within experience centres, themed attractions, or high-profile entertainment venues. Strong knowledge of themed entertainment industry best practices, particularly in immersive experiences and brand storytelling. Experience in managing relationships between IP owners and project developers, ensuring brand integrity throughout the project lifecycle. Ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders, balancing creative, commercial, and operational considerations. Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel frequently to oversee project execution and ensure brand alignment.
- Desirable: Experience working on premium brand experiences in sports, automotive, or entertainment. Familiarity with construction processes related to experience centres or themed attractions. Knowledge of Middle Eastern business practices, regulations, and cultural considerations. A relevant degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Themed Entertainment.
Role Structure and Expectations: Hybrid work model. Frequent international travel required to oversee project execution in the Middle East. Contract basis with duration of 9 months aligned to project timelines (may be extended to 12 months based on business need).
