At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars with the aim of fighting for world championships each and every year. Whether working in our Operations, Technical, Race or Business Support functions, we are all in and aspire to build the greatest team in the history of our sport. Every individual plays their part. No stone is left unturned in the chase for every tenth of a second.

A vacancy has arisen for a Travel Coordinator to report into the Travel Manager – Race & VIP Travel. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost effective provision and administration of travel and accommodation services to support the team’s corporate and competitive objectives.

Key Accountabilities
  • Production and publication of the travel itinerary (including preparation of the itinerary document, welcome letters and E-Tickets).
  • Completion of the flight manifest including input of passenger details and submission to airlines.
  • Completion of the rooming list including submission of the list to hotels.
  • Co-ordinate the arrival of the team and any VIPs.
  • Booking of all ground transfers both in the UK and overseas.
  • Work with Mercedes-AMG to organise the allocation and use of Mercedes supplied vehicles.
  • Organise the completion and submission of the subsistence allowances for team members after an event.
  • Check, reconcile and complete the administrative process for all invoices.
  • Identify and make arrangements for the recharge of any costs.
  • Ensure that all travel is organised in line with the Travel Policy.
  • Maintain and provide records and other information to facilitate the smooth operation of the Travel department.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience of Travel coordination in a fast-moving environment.
  • Advanced Excel and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is key.
  • A self-driven, pro-active individual with a “can do” attitude and ability to work in a team.
  • Good inter-personal skills & ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving skills.
