The Role

Brackley, UK.

We are looking for an experienced and creative social media professional to join the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and help shape how millions of fans engage with one of the world's most recognised sporting brands.

As Senior Social Media Content Producer, you will play a leading role in the planning, creation and delivery of content across our global social media channels.

Combining strong editorial judgement, platform expertise and a passion for storytelling, you will help raise the quality and impact of our day-to-day social output while exploring new formats, technologies and audience opportunities.

Working closely with colleagues across Communications, Digital, Creative, Partnerships and external agencies, you will help bring the team's stories to life through engaging, innovative and platform-first content.

You'll have the opportunity to influence how we connect with fans around the world whilst helping shape the future of sports storytelling in Formula One and beyond.

This position is based at our headquarters in Brackley, with an onsite presence required three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a senior hands-on role in the planning, creation and delivery of high-quality content across all social channels, helping to guide the work of the social media team without formal line-management responsibility.
  • Support the digital team’s senior leaders in translating the wider Communications strategy into effective platform and content plans.
  • Collaborate with the Content Director to develop benchmark creative content, original formats and new approaches designed for social audiences.
  • Work closely with, and under the direction of, the Creative Lead, Senior Digital Editor, Digital Operations Manager and Content Director to maintain alignment across social media and the wider digital ecosystem.
  • Coordinate internal content production and external agency partners from briefing through to final delivery and publishing.
  • Build effective agency and platform relationships, supporting clear responsibilities, efficient workflows, constructive feedback and consistently high-quality output.
  • Partner with the Partner Communications team to deliver outstanding partner content and digital rights activations.
  • Ensure social media supports wider digital objectives across the team’s website, CRM, e-commerce and other owned platforms.
  • Support the Digital Operations Manager and relevant agency partners in the development and delivery of the paid social media strategy.
  • Help shape and deliver the team’s community management approach across social media platforms.
  • Maintain consistency with the team’s objectives, values, brand standards and wider storytelling ambitions.
  • Identify emerging platforms, audience behaviours, technologies and creative opportunities that can strengthen the team’s output.
  • Share social media expertise and best practices across the wider organisation.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
