The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team is looking for a Culture & Talent Marketing Manager to join our UK office on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility to extend. The role will operate out of Team offices on agreed days and work selected race weekends to support on-ground delivery of talent and cultural activations.
The Culture & Talent Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring the Team’s cultural relevance, driving fandom, and keeping the brand vibrant and relevant for partners. This role will generate cultural impact, press value, and social engagement that can be leveraged for Team brand and commercial growth, including merchandise sales.
Key Accountabilities- Culture Strategy & Insight
- Develop and manage the Team’s brand talent strategy and annual Culture & Talent Marketing plan
- Identify and act on cultural trends, global cultural events, audience behaviours, and passion points
- Collaborate with Comms and Brand Strategy to develop and deliver creative campaign ideas
- Monitor competitor activity, providing insights to keep the Team at the forefront of culture
- Talent & Influencer Identification & Management
- Build, negotiate, oversee, and maintain relationships with talent, agencies, FOM and Team Partner talent
- Develop briefs, ensure talent deliverables are fulfilled with contracts and guidelines, and integrate talent effectively into campaigns
- Identify and deliver last-minute and/or opportunistic talent partnerships
- Draft, negotiate and execute agreements, ensuring deliverables and rights are clear, achievable and value-additive
- Develop and execute merchandise seeding strategies to maximize visibility and organic social reach
- Source talent for Team and Team Partner events (e.g., DJs, panellists)
- Programme Operations
- Deliver talent programs end-to-end, coordinating across Marketing Operations, Comms, Partner Services, E-Commerce, and Talent teams
- Ensure activations are amplified across PR and social, ensuring that all contractual elements are fulfilled
- Coordinate Team/Personnel media opportunities and VIP programs for relevant Team Partner guests
- Manage end-to-end coordination of product seeding, from selection and shipment to content tracking
- Data & Performance
- Work with Partnerships & Commercial Insights to track, report, and evaluate the performance of cultural and talent activations against defined KPIs
- Provide key learnings and reporting post-race and post-activation
- Continuously test and learn, providing insights and recommendations to refine talent and cultural strategies
We are looking for a dynamic culture marketer with proven experience managing talent, influencer, or cultural programmes, bringing:
- 5–8 years’ experience in talent management, influencer marketing, or cultural brand activations (sports, entertainment, or consumer brand experience preferred)
- Creative, strategic thinker with strong understanding of cultural trends, talent ecosystems and brand-building through culture
- Hands-on experience managing agencies, talent contracts, and programme coordination
- Strong network within entertainment, talent, and culture industries
- Proven ability to ideate and deliver campaigns that drive PR/social amplification and measurable impact
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with ability to collaborate across functions and 3rd parties
- Strong organisational skills with comfort delivering under tight timelines
- Digital and social fluency: expertise in platforms where cultural moments are made
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Motivated, goal-oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator
- Ability to brief creative teams, shape ideas, and produce compelling activations
