Purpose of the role is to design and architect new technologies that support our mission to win F1 World Championships. Deliver new innovations to question conventional thinking and improve capabilities of the IT department. Provide visionary roadmaps on IT infrastructure for future years. Lead as a senior technical escalation point for a broad range of IT support topics. Manage stakeholders within IT and the business while delivering complex projects.
Be skilled at:
- Troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis

- Strategic planning and architectural designs of key IT systems and business technologies

Have experience of:
- Delivering exceptional customer service under pressure
- Operational support at a senior technical level, within a medium to large sized enterprise
- Planning, organising, leading and delivering complex, fast-moving workloads with both internal and external 3rd party resources
- Working to recognised methodologies i.e. (ITIL, Agile)
- A broad range of technical experience within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Design, manage and implementation of enterprise wide virtualisation, storage and business messaging services
- Supporting junior colleagues via mentoring, training, and documentation
Demonstrate knowledge of:
- Architecting enterprise applications, middleware, and infrastructure technologies
- Financial planning / cost management for IT infrastructure and projects
- Managing and deploying to cloud platforms
- Database support, administration, and optimisation
- Scripting, orchestration, and automation techniques
- Capacity, performance, and availability monitoring
- Security, vulnerability, and malware threat prevention
- Working in a fast-paced, priority lead business with focus on stability and reliability of delivered services
Desirable – Motorsport / Advanced Manufacturing experience.
Hold these qualifications:
- Degree or relevant qualifications in a technology or science subject
- Hold the following (or relevant equivalent): CCNA, ITIL v3/v4 foundation level

- Be able to see the big picture but also get involved in the technical “hands on” deliverable of a broad range of technical topics
- Project manage multiple concurrent projects and associated stakeholder communications
- Deliver on operational and project-based tasks, against demanding Service Level Agreements and challenging deadlines
- Deliver quality without compromising performance
- Be a strong point of escalation; seeing solutions that others can't, and crucially, be keen to do so as quickly and efficiently as possible so that we can achieve our collective goals
- Actively encourage teamwork and knowledge sharing to develop both yourself and your colleagues
Additional Information: The roles require the ability to deliver on both operational and project activities, against deadlines and SLAs. Thus, flexibility and stakeholder negotiation skills are essential in this position. Applicants must be able to occasionally provide out of hours maintenance and support on a best-efforts basis.
