The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Purpose of the role is to produce and process the payrolls at HPP monthly, ensuring they are done to a high standard (on time, in full with no errors). This includes all activities relating to and surrounding the monthly processing and annual activities.
In addition to the payroll, this role is responsible for managing the HRIS systems in place, keeping them up to date and accurate at all times, including reporting to other departments such as finance.
Available for a March start date.
Be skilled at:
- Strong maths skills with an ability to spot numerical errors

- IT skills, with an advanced knowledge of Excel

Have experience of:
- Proven 5 years of work experience as a Payroll Officer or similar
- Managing a payroll for approx. 500 - 1,000 staff
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and Payroll software
- Using initiative to take ownership for their area of responsibility
Demonstrate knowledge of:
- Payroll processing
- Tax and tax year processing
- Statutory Payments & Reporting Requirements
- Labour Legislation

Success in this role will be if you… (deliverables)
- Process the Employee Monthly Payroll to a high level – expecting an accuracy rate of 98% +
- Manage all variable data: Starters / Leavers, Ad hoc requests
- Manage the payroll provider to ensure accuracy levels are maintained
- Post payroll reporting
- Tax Year End Processing: P60’s, P11d’s, Employer NIC contributions, Early Year Updates
- Managing HMRC account
- Point of contact for employee queries on Pay
- Assisting with the day-to-day support with the benefits administration
- Ad Hoc reporting from the HRIS to support compensation & benefit activities
- Support if required - Process the Expat Payroll
- Invoice tracking: Starters / Leavers, Tax Payments
- Support Payroll apprentice in tasks, to ensure all required work is completed to the desired standard
- Responsible for the Gender Pay report figures
