Trainees take place in many areas of the organisation, some with specialisation that require a dedicated engineer. One such area is the Thermofluids group, which focuses on ICE performance. Within this team, the Performance Development group is looking for Trainee Engineers. As a Performance Development Engineer you will generate and develop Power Unit performance ideas that lead to on‑circuit performance improvements. These can come from increased power unit output, reduced heat rejection, improved driveability and better use of fuel/electrical energy budget. You will also plan and run test programmes in single‑cylinder and V6 dynos, analyse results, report learning and conclusions to the business, and coordinate with Simulation, Product Engineering, Test, Build and Programme Management.

Qualifications
- Curious, tenacious and driven with a hunger to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- On track to achieve, or having already achieved, a 2.1 degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Automotive, Motorsport or a related discipline.
- Strong academic background in Maths or Sciences (A‑Level or equivalent).
- Excellent understanding of engineering first principles.
- Practical, hands‑on experience to complement academic studies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self‑motivation, adaptability and creativity.
- Willingness to challenge and be challenged, and a desire to expand technical knowledge and skills.
