Work towards and become a HV AP (High Voltage Authorised Person) switching engineer at this facility for the building services high voltage infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Technically own, monitor, manage and continually enhance the PMS (Power Management System) and provide energy reports.
- Comply with ISO50001 and technically support all requirements of the energy management standard, including energy savings, energy reports and energy efficiency projects and programmes.
- Develop documentation of a quality that can pass effective external auditing as well as being easily understood by others for succession planning purposes.
- Technically own, monitor and manage our electrical distribution network, the network agreement and manage the electrical infrastructure to prevent power outage from our external energy provider.
- Provide comprehensive technical support to the Building Services Infrastructure Electrical Duty Holder to ensure we have an effective Electrical Safe System of Work at HPP.
- Technically manage the electrical and controls infrastructure and ongoing projects so that we can continue to grow as a business and not have any power or controls limitations.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance requirements for all the HV and LV switch gear and HV/LV transformers down to ACB level.
- Support the facilities maintenance department to undertake the five-year rolling fixed wire testing programme.
- Technically own, monitor, manage and enhance the BMS (Building Management System). Supporting the BMS maintenance contract engineers with site visits.
- Develop a close working relationship with all departments and customers and in particular to work with those in relation to areas where responsibility for maintaining or installing new electrical, controls and fire alarm services affect their operations so that this causes minimal disruption to the business core activities.

Have Experience Of
- Working in a fast paced, highly dynamic, and constantly demanding environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of
- Conversant with AutoCAD 2D.
- MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Schneider, MEM, ABB and EATON electrical distribution systems, Schneider SEPAM, ION and other Schneider meters, Siemens Desigo BMS and Siemens CC, Schneider Accusine systems an advantage.
- Understanding of Plant/Facilities Engineering or in a production environment or a related development environment, understanding and experience of delivering complex projects across many engineering disciplines.
- Understanding and experience in energy efficiency and energy reduction projects.
Qualifications
- HNC, HND, bachelor’s degrees or higher in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
- 18th Edition IET qualification certificate or equivalent.
- HV AP Certificate that is less than five years from date of issue or working towards.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with the associated facilities, test operations, engine build, IT and other operational teams.
- Carry out presentations to the associated facilities, test operations, engine build, IT and all other operational teams as and when required.
- Actively support all projects carried out by other departments which have Mechanical, infrastructure and Electrical & Controls elements within the projects.
- Undertake and perform any other tasks or duties as may be required by management whether they are for personnel development or in response to business needs.
- To ensure compliance with all statutory certification of equipment is always adhered to.
- Ensure the facility compliance to ISO50001: Energy Management Standard.
- Ensure that all staff, visitors, and contractors enjoy a safe and secure working environment in compliance with health, safety, and Environmental Regulations on-site.
