Mercantile Barristers is a Barristers\’ Chambers, based in the heart of Legal London, at Gray\’s Inn.Our members have established practices in traditional and commercial chancery work. Members particularly specialise in commercial litigation, company, construction, property, estates and sports law. Chambers provides full circle legal services on both contentious and non-contentious matters to businesses, professionals and high net worth individuals.To assist with our increasing case load and organic growth we now require a Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a permanent basis.Key Responsibilities Reporting to a Barrister, the successful candidate will be specifically responsible for working with a Barrister to maintain full litigation case management from pre‐action conduct through to trial and appeal, where necessary, in compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules.This role would suit an enthusiastic litigator with ability to work in a team with Counsel servicing other solicitors and Public/Direct Access clients.Basic Qualifications3 years\’ paralegal experience in a commercial litigation law firm or barristers\’ chambers.Completion of the LPC or equivalent Bar course.3 months\’ County Court Advocacy experience is preferable, but not essentialApplications from candidates qualifying as a solicitor using the new SQE route to practice welcomed.Very competent knowledge and use of the Civil Procedure RulesExcellent written and oral communication skills in EnglishSmart professional appearance, friendly manner, flexibility, innovative and forward thinking.We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
