Meraki Talent’s financial services client is actively looking for an Oracle DBA to join the team responsible for the provisioning of their Data Stores and shared data tooling, on premise and Cloud. The team support production systems that operate on-prem using Exadata, with hybrid physical standby databases located within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The team also supports a large in-house software dev team that builds custom application solutions and supports 3rd party data solutions from Delphix to provision development and test databases within OCI.
  
Responsibilities of the Oracle DBA (Financial Services):
  
– Be instrumental in the journey to the Cloud (OCI, Azure)
– Assist with research, test & deployment activities
– Maintain security compliance, this person will be instrumental in patching activities
– Help deliver new project on-boarding
– Participate in an on-call rota and out of hours work if required
  
Background of the Oracle DBA (Financial Services):
  
– Experience of administering large, highly available, multi-terabyte production databases as an Oracle DBA essential, (ideally with Oracle 19c and 23ai) as well as performance tuning skills within SQL & PL/SQL
– Knowledge of Exadata, RAC and ZFS would be handy but not essential
– Knowledge of the Cloud, particularly OCI and Azure would be very handy
– Strong patching experience
– Experience of Dataguard, RMAN backup & recovery, OEM, Linux (OEL, Redhat), Shell Scripting, Delphix, Oracle Application Express and Git all nice to have, but not essential
