Meraki Talent are currently working with a leading Investment Management firm to help them identify a Head of Prudential.

Responsibilities:

  • The management of the allocation and maintenance of capital and the firm’s regulatory reporting under the regulatory system.
  • Managing the firm’s recovery plan and resolution pack and the internal processes regarding their governance.
  • Managing the firm’s internal stress-tests and ensuring the accuracy and timelines of information provided to the FCA or PRA and other regulatory bodies for the purpose of stress testing and incentive schemes for the firm’s staff.
  • Take ownership of, and responsibility for, the preparation of other key prudential regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure that submissions are made on time and to a high standard.
  • Raise awareness across the group of regulatory change and develop the group’s response.
  • Act as day-to-day contact with the Prudential Regulation Authority and support the CFO in ensuring that all regulatory requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure appropriate reporting and escalation of matters relating to the capital resources of the firm via the CFO to the Board.
  • Lead in the preparation of the annual Group Pillar 3 disclosure document, group semi-annual Key Metrics disclosures, and entity-specific MIFIDPRU disclosures, including presenting document to Group risk committee, Group executive committee, entity boards and Plc/Boards for approval.
  • Oversee the annual Group Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (‘ICAAP’) and entity-level ICARA documents, aligning to annual Group and Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (‘ILAAP’) documents as applicable, including liaising with Group risk committee, Group executive committee and Plc/Boards regarding levels of stress testing to be undertaken and presentation of results for approval.

We are looking for:

  • Experience of working within areas of prudential regulation, including an understanding of capital and liquidity regulation & reporting (essential).
  • Experience in reading and disseminating detail within legislative instruments (essential).
  • Demonstrable team and stakeholder management experience (essential).
  • No specific professional qualification required.
  • Education to degree level would be desirable.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Leadership and excellent stakeholder management skills.
