Meraki Talent is delighted to be supporting a respected and long-established Independent Chartered Accountancy firm in Edinburgh with the appointment of an Audit and Accounts Manager to join their growing team.

Known for its supportive and collaborative culture, the practice is entering an exciting period of growth and is now seeking a qualified professional to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients.

The Role

This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant seeking a varied and rewarding role. The position blends audit, accounts preparation, charity independent examinations offering a well-rounded managerial opportunity within a dynamic team.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing statutory audits across a range of sectors.
  • Leading accounts preparation for non-audit limited companies and other entities.
  • Reviewing corporation tax returns prepared by junior staff, with more complex returns reviewed in conjunction with the firm\’s Tax Director.
  • Overseeing independent examinations for charity clients.

Candidate Profile

  • Hold a professional qualification (CA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Have solid experience in public practice environment.
  • Possess a working knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102.
  • Be confident managing a mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Be proactive, organised, and a natural team player.
