Meraki Talent’s client is currently seeking a Senior Manager for Data Privacy to join their business on a permanent basis. Our client is a prominent Global Bank which has made a sizable commitment to their Glasgow office in recent times. As part of this evolution as new role has been created for a Data Privacy professional with strong leadership skills to join.
The role will be responsible for building a new team which is responsible for ensuring the banks meets data privacy standards and legislation. The team support on the management of data privacy breaches, including reporting, resolution and initiatives to prevent future incidents.
Key outcomes:
- Provision of data-led oversight, check and challenge of data privacy compliance risks through review of business processes, controls and systems
- Identification and investigation of potential market abuse
- Conduct thorough investigations of risks and events
- Implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements
- Identification and investigation of potential money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crimes
For this role my client is seeking applications from ambitious candidates who bring the following skills and experience:
- In-depth knowledge of privacy enhancing technologies
- Experience in managing data privacy breaches
- Relevant Data Privacy degree or professional qualification such as CIPP/E
- People and process management
- Banking experience not essential, but it is preferable for experience in a larger/corporate environment
