Meraki Talent is seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join a dynamic Outsourced Finance function team, delivering high-level strategic financial advice and technical accounting services to a wide range of clients across various sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work with an established and growing team providing comprehensive CFO-level support to businesses at pivotal stages in their development, such as mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and restructuring projects.
As a Manager or Senior Manager within the function, you will be involved in overseeing the strategic, technical, and operational aspects of client projects. You will play a key role in providing advisory services for complex accounting and financial matters, ensuring that businesses are prepared for significant corporate milestones such as listings, mergers, and acquisitions. You will work closely with clients to assess and improve their finance function, ensuring alignment with best practices, IFRS compliance, and effective controls.
While you will not be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, you will be integral in advising clients on strategic financial decisions and reviewing accounting processes at a high level. Your expertise will help clients navigate challenging projects, ensuring that their finance functions meet regulatory requirements, are efficient, and can support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Advisory: Work closely with clients to assess their financial processes, providing high-level strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, de-listings, AIM listings, and other corporate milestones.
- Technical Accounting: Review and analyze complex accounting processes, ensuring alignment with IFRS and other relevant regulations. Provide input into process improvements and controls for clients.
- Project Management: Oversee high-level projects involving financial transformations, working directly with clients to deliver successful outcomes on time and within scope.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the key point of contact for all financial matters, and ensuring ongoing business development through excellent service delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Work with senior members of the team and contribute to developing solutions that enhance the finance function of client businesses.
- Sector Specialisation: Focus on key sectors including energy, public sector, property, charities, and OMBs. Be proactive in identifying new sector opportunities and helping to shape future service offerings.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, with a background in technical accounting, IFRS, or financial advisory services.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting skills, with proven experience in IFRS, financial process reviews, and providing strategic accounting advice.
- Sector Knowledge: Experience working with clients in sectors such as energy, public sector, charities, OMBs, and property is highly desirable.
- Communication: Proactive, with the ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly and confidently to clients at all levels.
- Client-Focused: A strong client-facing background with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships, coupled with a keen business development mindset.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring client expectations are met within deadlines.
