Job Description

Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of a permanent Accountant based in Edinburgh with strong hybrid working, paying up to £50,000 + bonus & a highly competitive benefits package.

The Role

The Accountant role is focused on financial accounting, with excellent involvement in value add projects including process & continuous improvement initiatives. The key components include:

  • Reporting to, and deputising for the Departmental Head
  • Involvement in high profile process and & continuous improvement projects
  • Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders cross the world
  • Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts, returns and annual audit
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, & controls
  • Assisting with balance sheet, fixed-assets & intercompany transactions

Candidate Profile

The employer is targeting a newly qualified Accountant with strong technical competency achieved through another inhouse Accountant role or through a training contract as an Auditor within an Accountancy Firm/Practice.

Preference will be provided to individuals that can demonstrate exposure to larger/complex business structures and/or groups.
