Role at a Glance:

  • Lead R&D tax relief claims for clients ranging from growth-focused SMEs to PE-backed mid-market businesses
  • Gather and assess technical and financial information, determine eligibility, and deliver strong, compliant claims
  • Manage projects end to end — plan budgets, timelines, and coordinate team delivery
  • Build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities to add value
  • Conduct technical research and present pragmatic advice
  • Mentor junior team members and support internal knowledge growth
  • Stay up to date with UK R&D tax policy and contribute to business development efforts

Looking For Someone With:

  • A CTA / ACA / CA / ACCA qualification, or a STEM background with solid UK tax knowledge
  • Experience in R&D advisory work within professional services or consultancy
  • Strong understanding of UK R&D tax relief schemes and HMRC processes
  • Excellent communication skills – able to simplify complex concepts for clients
  • Proven ability to manage projects, lead client-facing work, and coach team members
