Job Description
Meraki Talent are delighted to partner with our long-standing client, who are a leading UK wide business to recruit Financial Control Manager. Due to further investment with a large change and integration agenda, there is a permanent requirement to recruit an experienced Manager with strong core technical accounting abilities.
This is a fantastic time to join this high profile team, with good variety of responsibilities, group consolidation, financial control, reporting and project involvement and continuous improvement. Additionally, the role will have responsibility for a small team, with good reporting lines to senior/exec stakeholders across the business.
Key duties of the role include:
- Lead production of the group consolidated financial results monthly
- Financial and Statutory Reporting
- Financial Control with enhancement of the control environment
- Complete interim and full-year financial statements with full preparatory commentary
- Manage and lead with ad hoc technical accounting requests
- Financial Analysis – analyse large datasets, interpret key metrics, trends and results; produce key MI analysis
- Stakeholder management and engagement
- Manage a team of qualified accountants
- Deliver continuous improvements through automation and process enhancement.
Experience required:
- ICAS (ACA) or ACCA Qualified Accountant
- Experience of working with large corporate cultures, ideally Banking / Financial Services or Global businesses
- Demonstrate good Statutory and Financial Reporting
- Ability to lead, manage and develop a team
