We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Assembly Technician to join our growing engineering team in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced and innovative environment, supporting the build, testing and commissioning of specialist industrial equipment.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical assembly and maintenance work while contributing to projects that support sustainable engineering and advanced technology solutions. Full product training will be provided as part of your induction.

Based at our Peterborough Service Centre, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals in a large-scale operational facility supporting both workshop and field-based equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Fabricating, installing and documenting electrical systems.
  • Working with single-phase, three-phase, low-voltage and extra low-voltage circuits.
  • Preparing and terminating electrical wiring and circuits.
  • Reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings.
  • Fault-finding and troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation and mechanical systems.
  • Configuring and testing instrumentation and control systems.
  • Testing electrical systems including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and relays.
  • Supporting the commissioning of specialist equipment both electrically and mechanically.
  • Carrying out inspections, testing and quality control checks on equipment and systems.
  • Performing EIC, EICR and PAT testing where required.
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and technical accuracy at all times.
Persons Specification:
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Experience within industrial electrical environments.
  • Experience wiring and fault-finding PLC-controlled equipment.
  • City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing (Desirable).
  • Passport to Safety or equivalent certification (Desirable).
