We are looking for a driven and proactive National Account Manager to join a multi-international business, taking full ownership of Wholesale and Trade accounts. In this role, you will be central to delivering our commercial strategy across these major UK retailers, leading promotional activity, supporting new product launches, and building strong, strategic partnerships with customers to maximise growth and performance. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative, and forward-thinking team, working in an inclusive environment that values creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement, with excellent opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive sales, distribution, and profit growth across your account portfolio.
  • Implement agreed pricing and commercial strategies in line with company policy.
  • Develop and manage: promotional, activation, demand/order, and NPD plans for your accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and product launches.
  • Ensure each account achieves its full potential and supports overall business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and manage payments, overdue accounts, and stock effectively.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor.

Person Specification

  • A results-oriented, target-driven professional with a proven track record in account management.
  • Must have a minimum of up to 5 years experience as a National Account Manager in managing Toolbank, Toolstation, Travis Perkins and wholesale accounts.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Creative problem solver with a proactive “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • University degree.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the UK and overseas.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
