About the role
We’re looking for a skilled Renewables Electrician to install, commission, and maintain domestic and light-commercial solar PV systems and EV charge points. You’ll take projects from survey to handover with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission single- and three-phase EV charge points (domestic and commercial).
- Install, wire, and commission solar PV systems, inverters, and battery storage.
- Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and remedial works on existing installations.
- Complete electrical certification, handover packs, and as-built documentation.
- Conduct site surveys, prepare material take-offs, and support project planning.
- Adhere to BS 7671 and relevant DNO/G98/G99 requirements and manufacturer specs.
- Deliver high standards of workmanship and maintain a tidy, safe site.
About you
- Fully qualified electrician: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) with current 18th Edition (BS 7671).
- EV qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2919 or equivalent) with hands-on install experience.
- Solar PV qualification/experience (e.g., C&G 2399/Solar PV Level 3) and inverter commissioning.
- Testing & inspection (e.g., C&G 2391/2391-52) strongly preferred.
- MCS experience advantageous (install or compliance).
- Full UK driving licence and comfortable working at height.
- Strong customer communication and neat, methodical workmanship.
