Senior Mechanical Project Manager – Plumbing / Mechanical Location: Essex & London Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 DOE Benefits: Car Allowance + Bonus + Pension Employment: Permanent Working: Hybrid We are recruiting an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join an established contractor delivering commercial mechanical and plumbing projects across Essex and London. This is a senior delivery-focused position taking responsibility for projects from initial handover through to completion, with individual project values ranging from approximately £20,000 to £1 million. The successful candidate will typically manage between 1–3 live projects at any one time, supported by an established office, estimating and design team. The Role As Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful commercial and operational delivery of mechanical and plumbing projects. Responsibilities will include: * Managing mechanical projects from initial handover through to completion * Overseeing projects ranging in value from £20k to £1m * Managing typically 1–3 live projects at any one time * Managing and coordinating engineers, supervisors and site teams * Planning and monitoring project programmes * Monitoring project costs and commercial performance * Ensuring labour, materials and subcontractors are effectively coordinated * Liaising directly with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders * Working closely with internal estimating and design teams * Managing variations and changes throughout the project lifecycle * Monitoring progress against programme and budget * Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards * Attending client, progress and project meetings * Identifying and resolving potential project issues * Maintaining strong relationships with clients throughout project delivery About You We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in plumbing and mechanical building services. The ideal candidate will have: * Strong mechanical and plumbing knowledge * Proven experience managing commercial mechanical projects * Experience managing projects from initial handover through to completion The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking for a senior position within a well-supported business.
