MEP Technical Talent are currently recruiting for an Electrical Project Manager for a refurbishment project within a student accommodation scheme in Glasgow. This role will suit an electrically biased Project Manager with experience managing refurbishment or upgrade works within live or partially occupied buildings.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the electrical refurbishment works across the accommodation site, overseeing the installation and upgrade of various electrical systems and components. Working closely with the site team and subcontractors, you will ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day electrical refurbishment works on site
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors and labour
- Ensure works are delivered on time and within programme
- Maintain health & safety compliance across the project
- Liaise with the main contractor, site management team, and client representatives
- Monitor quality of installations and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Support with site reporting, progress updates, and programme management
Requirements
- Strong Electrical background within Building Services / M&E
- Experience managing refurbishment or upgrade projects
- Previous experience working on student accommodation, residential, or similar schemes desirable
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities
- SSSTS minimum requirement (SMSTS advantageous)
Contract Details
- Start: Mid April
- Duration: Approx. 4 months
- Rate: £350 – £400 per day
