About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading building services and facilities maintenance contractor on a permanent basis. You’ll be responsible for reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of commercial properties – including secure and live environments such as prisons, so professionalism and reliability are essential.
This is a mobile role, working on a portfolio of public and private sector sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, fault finding, and repairs on commercial heating and hot water systems.
- Undertake PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites.
- Work safely and efficiently in live environments (e.g., prisons, offices, and public buildings).
- Complete compliance documentation and ensure work is carried out to current gas regulations.
- Participate in a call-out rota and overtime when required.
Requirements
- Current Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1 / CODNCO1) and relevant elements (e.g., CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1).
- Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer in a maintenance or FM environment.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to pass security clearance / background checks (essential due to site type).
