We are seeking an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning & HVAC Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This mobile role involves delivering high-quality service and maintenance across a range of client sites, including daily visits to prisons. The role primarily focuses on servicing and PPMs, and requires someone confident working independently with strong technical knowledge and practical skills.
Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial and secure sites in the Midlands
- Daily visits to prisons for servicing and preventative maintenance tasks
- Service and maintain a wide range of HVAC and f-gas installations including:
- Split systems, VRV/VRF systems, Chillers, Air handling units, General ventilation systems
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience across the full range of HVAC and air conditioning systems detailed above
- F-Gas refrigerant handling certification (essential)
- Relevant City & Guilds/NVQ in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or HVAC (essential)
- Electrical qualifications (advantageous)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with CAFM systems (tablet-based)
- Must be confident working independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience working in secure environments such as prisons (preferred)
What’s on Offer
- £38,000 – £43,000 per annum (based on experience)
- Full-time hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
