An exciting new opportunity for a Field Servicing Engineer has become available for an experienced engineer to join our busy UK Forks engineering team. This is a site-based role that ensures preventative/routine maintenance is regularly carried out to UK Forks plant machinery. Planned/routine servicing on UK Fork plant machinery increases reliability and life span of components, resulting in less breakdowns for our customers. This role may require basic repairs to be carried out that are health and safety critical if defects are found on inspection during routine maintenance checks. Dedicated field servicing engineers mean preventative/routine maintenance can be prioritised and managed by the service desk ensuring UK Forks high standards are met consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site service and inspection on all UK Forks products and attachments to manufacturers' standards.
- Basic machinery repairs whilst on site that are health and safety critical.
- Work to UK Forks and manufacturer specifications to ensure UK Forks products are maintained to the highest standard.
- Time management to ensure productivity is maximised and planned work given by the service desk weekly is completed within allocated time.
- Manage own stock levels weekly to ensure all the correct stock/parts are available for planned maintenance.
- Follow instruction and fit parts instructed by UK Forks for planned servicing and maintenance.
- Flexible attitude towards working additional hours as required when working out of area.
- Flexibility when asked to travel for training/field support roles that may include overnight stays to ensure UK Forks machinery is serviced and maintained routinely.
- Reporting to the service desk and area controller daily and completing PDA/Tablet to ensure all information is captured (including pictures).
- Waste management, removing all waste from customers' sites and disposing at UK Forks depot in the correct locations to ensure all waste is disposed of in line with waste management.
- When considered necessary or appropriate by management you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.

- Basic mechanical and electrical engineering skills related to all UK Forks products.
- Maintain and service all UK Forks products and attachments.
- Carry out vehicle checks to identify possible failures or hazards.
- Manage own stock and parts.
- Valid driving licence.
- Correct use of PDA/Tablet.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Capacity for learning new skills/information quickly.
- Flexible attitude towards working additional hours as required.
- Prepared to travel for training or field support (including overnight stays).
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet commitments.
- A team-oriented approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure and respond positively to challenges.
