Are you an early-career Occupational Hygienist who wants to build depth, confidence and credibility in a science-led consultancy while also becoming a co-owner of the business you help grow? An established, independent Environmental Consultancy based in Oxfordshire is currently looking for an Occupational Hygienist/Air Quality Consultant to join the growing team at an exciting time as the client and project portfolio continues to expand.
The company culture is built around collaboration, professionalism and scientific rigour, with a strong commitment to operating sustainably, ethically and responsibly.
In the role, you’ll focus primarily on delivering occupational air exposure monitoring assessments across a wide range of interesting UK sites — measuring dust, fibres, VOCs, gases (and more) — and producing clear, interpretative reports that make your findings actionable for clients. You’ll also have the opportunity to broaden your skillset with:
- Noise exposure assessments
- LEV testing
- Supporting enquiries, quotations and developing new opportunities
To be considered, you’ll ideally have an academic background in occupational hygiene, environmental health, chemistry, or related scientific discipline. Candidates with equivalent practical hands-on experience will also be considered. Experience in occupational/industrial hygiene specifically in airborne substances and noise monitoring would be highly desirable. Knowledge of IAQ guidelines/frameworks (e.g., BREEAM) would also be advantageous. Those with existing BOHS membership and qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Primarily office-based, the role will require regular site work throughout the UK and as such, you will need a full UK Driving License.
