Are you an experienced Business Travel Consultant looking to work outside the regular working week? Do you have other commitments during the day and prefer to work at weekends? If you thrive under pressure and are a compassionate and organised individual then we have the position for you. We are an award-winning provider of business and repatriation services, currently recruiting for an experienced Out of Hours Business Travel Consultant to provide outstanding service to assist with our business travellers and repatriation clients. Our 24-hour team of experts handle sensitive situations with care, speed and efficiency in a busy environment working closely together to solve problems, discuss ideas and find inspiration.
Key responsibilities:
- Offer and book travel and hotel accommodation for our business travel and medical repatriation clients
- Manage bookings outside of normal office hours
- Provide expert travel advice, ensuring compliance with travel policies and optimising travel experiences
- Anticipate and implement operational procedures to ensure growth of client satisfaction and share problem-solving skills so maximising the efficiency of the department and colleagues
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, understanding their unique travel requirements.
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum of three years’ proven experience working in a Business Travel Consultant role
- Complete competence using travel booking technology – minimum two years’ experience using GDS Galileo and Amadeus
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Time management
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills including an excellent telephone manner
- Problem-solving
- Common sense
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
We operate a 24-hour 365 days per year on a variable shift pattern. Part-time hours available for weekend shifts with weekday evening shifts an optional addition. This position can be homebased once fully trained. Full training will be given in our Petersfield office.
