You will have oversight of a small team that regularly delivers a finance function to 30-40 clients, delivering management accounts, year-end statutory financial statements and dealing with day-to-day client queries. You will be fully accountable for financial performance, including WIP, debt, billing, and budgets, and will influence outcomes through proactive client management. You will act as the primary client contact, leading meetings and building trusted relationships. You will mentor junior staff, foster collaboration, and lead team development initiatives. You will also contribute to business growth through lead identification, cross-selling, proposals, and promoting innovation. You may have People/Training Manager responsibility for 1 or more Trainees/team members. You will co-ordinate with both audit and corporate tax teams to provide efficient support for your clients.

You’ll bring strong technical skills, ideally with experience using Caseware (although full training will be provided), along with hands-on knowledge of Xero and Dext. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and support a team are essential. The role involves preparing statutory financial statements under FRS 102-1A, producing management accounts using Xero, and supporting a portfolio of clients. You’ll also have experience leading small teams and helping others develop through coaching and guidance. This is a largely office-based role with flexible working available. Occasional travel may be required for training, visits to other offices, or client site meetings, with infrequent overnight stays.
