Overview

During the 12 month University placement you will have the opportunity to rotate around the key business areas in Audit, Tax and Accounts. This placement is designed for individuals who want to start their professional career at a dynamic and relationship‑driven firm that helps grow clients’ business through innovative solutions and services. The programme provides flexibility to learn about Audit, Tax and Accounts with the aim of helping you decide which field to pursue for a graduate career. At the end of the programme, a joint decision will be made whether to progress to the Graduate Programme. If progression is agreed, you will have a choice of entering either the Menzies ATT-CTA or ACA Graduate Trainee programme. The company aims to develop trainees into the next generation of senior leaders, with multiple pathways available across Consultancy, Forensics, Audit, Tax, Corporate Finance, Business Valuations or Accounts. Ongoing training and development is provided throughout your Menzies career so you continuously gain new skills and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate around the key business areas in Audit, Tax and Accounts.
  • Engage in a placement that supports learning and decision-making about specialist areas for a graduate career.
  • Participate in a structured development programme with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Individuals who are collaborative and eager to take on new challenges
  • On track to receive a minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in any degree discipline
  • Minimum of 2 x A levels (A-C) and one other A level or equivalent
  • 5 GCSEs grades A-C or 9-4 (including Maths and English Language or equivalent)
  • Ability to absorb new information and adapt quickly
  • Comfortable working with numbers and demonstrating strong attention to detail
  • Clear and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to explain financial information in an accessible and supportive manner
  • Agile working policy
