Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join our growing audit team in Solent. Reporting directly to an audit Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the progress of audit assignments from planning through to completion. You will also be reviewing the work of junior colleagues as well as coaching and supporting them in their development. Our audit engagements may take place remotely or on client sites, so you will utilise a range of technological solutions in addition to your people skills to deliver a quality service, on time and on budget, working in collaboration with the wider audit team to delight our clients.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Are you AAT qualified or progressing towards your ACA/ACCA qualification with the professional/applied skills stage completed? We’re looking for a driven professional with at least 18 months’ experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice, including leading external audit assignments from fieldwork to completion under International Standards on Auditing. You should have experience preparing accounts under UK GAAP, be confident using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and possess strong communication skills for working with senior staff and clients. If you’re motivated, a team player who can also work independently, and committed to delivering high‑quality service, we’d love to hear from you! Knowledge of Caseware software and Mercia audit methodologies is a bonus but not essential. Candidates must have UK work eligibility without restrictions.
