You will be based in our Audit & Assurance department where you'll gain valuable commercial insights into how organisations operate and the challenges they face. Your responsibilities will grow as you progress through the programme. Your career with Menzies doesn't just stop once you complete your AAT qualification, you can be given the opportunity to progress onto further studies, such as the 3-year ACA qualification.
Our Audit & Assurance teams carry out a detailed, risk-based review of a company’s financials to determine whether the financial statements are an accurate reflection. We look to challenge the financial operations of a company and help to improve the internal processes of a business. This is critical in today’s business world as its financial statements are one of only a small number of documents that a company will place into the public domain, and a quality audit gives confidence in what is delivered to all stakeholders.
What do we look for?
- Individuals who are collaborative and eager to take on new challenges
- Minimum of 2 x A levels (A-C) and one other A level or equivalent
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C or 9-4 (including Maths and English Language or equivalent)
- Ability to absorb new information and adapt quickly
- Comfortable working with numbers and demonstrating strong attention to detail
- Clear and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills
- Able to explain financial information in an accessible and supportive manner
