The ATT-CTA Programme
When you join, you’ll start working towards the ATT-CTA qualification. As an Apprentice you'll get involved with client work as part of a supportive and inclusive team. Our apprentices have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele representing various industry sectors, giving you a well-rounded experience. We prioritise your growth by providing you with a mentor and training manager throughout the programme
You will be based in our Transfer Pricing, Business Tax service line, where you'll gain valuable commercial insights into how organisations operate and the challenges they face. Your responsibilities will grow as you progress through the programme.
What does your role entail?
The Transfer Pricing role at Menzies involves working within a specialised team responsible for advising multinational companies in diverse industries across Transfer Pricing planning, HMRC enquiries, Dispute resolution and compliance engagements. As a Graduate Trainee, you will play a crucial role in helping clients understand and work through complex and fast evolving global Transfer Pricing and international tax environments. You will work with the team to provide multinational corporations with strategic insights and recommendations to mitigate Transfer pricing risks.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Trainee to gain hands-on experience in international taxation, build technical expertise in transfer pricing, and develop client-facing skills within a leading professional services firm, and grow career within the fast-growing Transfer Pricing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis on the client's business, transfer pricing issues, regulations, and market trends to support client engagements.
- Data analysis: Assist with the collection and analysis of financial data to support transfer pricing analysis.
- Economic analysis: Using databases and AI enabled software tool, you will perform benchmarking analyses to evaluate and support transfer pricing strategies.
- Documentation and compliance: Prepare transfer pricing documentation reports in compliance with local regulations and international standards.
- Client engagement: Collaborate with senior team members to support in client meetings, prepare presentations, and contribute to client deliverables.
- Project management: Manage tasks within assigned projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Collaboration across the Firm and across geographies: Work closely with cross-functional teams within the Firm and with our counterparts in other countries in the HLB network to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
What do we look for?
✔️ Minimum of a 2:2 predicted grade in tax, economics, accounting, law or business
✔️ Minimum of 2 x A levels (A-C) and one other A level or equivalent
✔️ 5 GCSEs grades A*-C or 9-4 (including Maths and English Language or equivalent)
✔️ Individuals who are collaborative and eager to take on new challenges
✔️ Comfortable working with numbers and demonstrating strong attention to detail
✔️ Ability to absorb new information and adapt quickly
✔️ Ability to explain complex financial information clearly, with excellent verbal communication skills
✔️ Transfer Pricing is a dynamic, technical field where you'll analyse client businesses against macroeconomic conditions and accounting principles, requiring strong analytical and writing skills
