We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our HSEQ team in Melbourne – head office in Malvern, VIC 3144.

COMPLIANCE / QUALITY IMPROVEMENT OFFICER – based in Melbourne

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our HSEQ team in Melbourne – head office in Malvern, VIC 3144.

This position will see the successful applicant reporting to the General Manager – Corporate Services and involves a wide range of compliance management and daily report development functions analysing data from misc. software applications.

You will form part of the greater HSEQ team and be involved in project management and overall compliance fields within the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to ensure Menzies comply with all relevant legislative requirements, Codes of Practice’s and statutory obligations
  • Provide effective support to Menzies operations teams to ensure the success of their compliance efforts
  • Report and investigate:
  • Time & Attendance issues by reviewing and querying misc. software platforms
  • Payroll issues
  • Consumables and materials orders to ensure compliance requirements are met within budgets and approved registers
  • Assist the operations and corporate teams with software programs issue management
  • Assist with Payroll, HR related and general audits and reporting analysis (daily, weekly, fortnightly, annually)
  • Assist with systems user set-up and management
  • Support with incidents and hazards reviews and closures
  • Experience And Qualifications

    • Proficient excel skills
    • Overall MS365 skills
    • Proficient in dealing with different software programs
    • 2-3 year\’s experience working in human resources, and HSEQ (health, safety, environmental and quality) compliance related fields
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to shape/change behavioral patterns, flaws and work ethics
    • A self-starter who achieves key targets through effective organisation, motivation and with a commitment to HR / Payroll / HSEQ compliance as well as continual improvement
    • Extensive experience and proven capabilities to drive key reporting outcomes across a large organisation
