Warehouse Operative (Nights)
Menzies Distribution Solutions is currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our night team in Wakefield. The role involves accurate and prompt picking, packing, and dispatch of warehouse goods, along with various other tasks to maintain efficient and safe warehouse operations, adhering to the highest health and safety standards.
*** Licences and experience in Counterbalance, Reach Truck, & Pivot steer (Flexi/bendi/aislemaster) are preferable. ***
What You Need to Know:
- Salary: Β£32,103.21
- Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri Nights
- Working Hours: 20:00 β 06:00
- Hours: 46.25 hours per week
- Holiday Allowance: 28 days including bank holidays
Warehouse Operative Duties:
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements
- Receive deliveries, check quantities, record receipt, and handle paperwork
- Pick and pack customer orders, dispatching with appropriate documentation
- Load trailers with goods in a timely manner
- Store goods from the warehouse floor into racking
- Handle products manually
- Sign off and accept responsibility for completed tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the warehouse and outside areas
- Conduct stock integrity and quality checks
About You:
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Professional manner
- Licences for MHE such as Articulated, Counterbalance, PPT, Bendi/Flexi are preferable
